This project is being run in 25 selected primary schools in Ahirori block of Hardoi district with support from CARE-India. The prinicipal objectives of the programme is increase in access by children, better understanding of curriculum among teachers, better environment for studies in schools, linking community with schools, their dialogue with teachers and explaining importance of education to them.
School development project is being run in collaboration with Nyaya Panchayat Resource Centre (NPRC), Block Resource Centre (BRC), Assistant Basic Shiksha Adhikari (ABSA), Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) and District Institute of Education Training (DIET).
The following are major activities of the project:
- Assistance in running classes in schools
- Assistance in organising bal sabhas
- Block level monthly planning meetings
- Assistance in use of library, science kit, drawing and sports material
- Community work
