Education is our oldest programme. When Sarvodaya Ashram was founded the area around the ashram campus was mired in illiteracy and there was no educational institution in the neighbourhood. It all started with a small primary school, which has now grown into a secondary school.
While the progress of this school continued, our attention was drawn towards primary school drop out girls, upper primary school drop girls, child labour, etc. We address their educational requirements.
Also our attention was drawn towards quality of education in government primary and upper primary schools. We are working towards impromvent of quality in these educational institutions.
Our educational pattern is not confined to mere learning of curriculum. Instead it goes beyond curriculum and lays emphasis on overall development of children.
A large number of partners, including funders, have chipped in in our educational endeavours.
