This project is targeted at horse breed animals and is underway in Hardoi and Barabanki districts with support from the Brooke India. The aim of the project is to reduce pain and suffering of the animals, which are mean of livelihood for their owners.
At present the project is covering over 4,000 animals in almost 125 villages of the two districts.
Under the project veterinary doctors are being sentistised and trained for better care of the animals. Besides doctors, other people associated with the animals like horse shoe fixers, hair cutters, medicine sellers, etc., are also being sentised and their capacities are being built.
For sustainability a team of skilled service providers is being prepared for providing service to this neglected, but very important constituent of the society.
